Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to look up a company, browse new incorporations and set up deadline reminders, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our target
Kompanies aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across every page.
What we test
- Keyboard: every page and the full reminder journey (search, company page, “Remind me”, sign-up form) can be completed with Tab, Shift-Tab, Enter, Space and Esc, with a visible focus outline.
- Screen readers: pages use real headings, labelled form fields and landmark regions, and we check them with VoiceOver and NVDA.
- Contrast: body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, and large text at least 3:1.
- Motion: nothing plays automatically, and animations are switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
Every change is also checked with automated tools before it goes live, but automated checks catch only part of the problems, so we test by hand as well.
How we test
Before each release we run automated accessibility checks with Lighthouse on the home page, a company page, the pricing page and the reminders page, and we do not release a change that drops the score below 100. Because automated tools catch only part of the problems, we also test by hand: with the mouse unplugged we complete the main journey from search to company page to the reminder form, checking that every link, button and field can be reached, shows a visible focus outline and works with Enter, Space and Escape. We check pages at a phone width of 375 pixels as well as on desktop. A screen-reader pass with VoiceOver and NVDA is scheduled.
Known issues
None known at the moment. If you find one, please tell us.

Last manual audit: 19 October 2026 — automated (Lighthouse 100) and keyboard pass. Screen-reader pass scheduled.
