When is a confirmation statement due?
GOV.UK, Filing your company's confirmation statement:
“You must review your records and file at least one confirmation statement every 12 months.”
“The review period ends 12 months after either: the date your company incorporated, if you're filing your first confirmation statement; the ‘confirmation statement date’ on your last confirmation statement.”
“You can file your statement up to 14 days after the review period has ended.”
When are annual accounts due?
GOV.UK, Prepare and file annual accounts for a private limited company, gives these deadlines:
| Filing | Deadline (GOV.UK wording) |
|---|---|
| First accounts with Companies House | “21 months after the date you registered with Companies House” |
| Annual accounts with Companies House | “9 months after your company’s financial year ends” |
| Company Tax Return with HMRC | “12 months after your accounting period for Corporation Tax ends” |
This checker shows the two Companies House dates. The tax return goes to HMRC and is not on the public register.
